Decrease in attacks is marked...
Published on December 18, 2005 By ShadowWar In War on Terror
Before the elections in Iraq many in the press and so called experts predicted an increase in the attacks on the coalition and Iraqi people and troops. Well they may want to reconsider a different job other than being reporters and experts.

From October to November in the Al Anbar province there was a 43% DECLINE in the number of attacks. Now if that does not seem enough to convince you that many of the reporters that predicted those increases may have been in error, how about that in the Bagdad area, the most violent you hear about on the television and newspapers, saw a 31% DECREASE in attacks! Oh and don't forget the other provinces, Ninawa a 34% DECREASE and Salah ad Din saw a 40% DECREASE. ALL of the provinces mentioned saw a marked decrease in violence.

What could this be a sign of? That the Iraqi people are beginning to take care of thier own security? There were many reports over the last few weeks of Iraqi citizens taking U.S. and Iraqi forces to hidden caches. In one case actually holding the men caught digging it up until the Multi-National Forces arrived. A little pay back maybe for all the death they have caused the Iraqi people?

From Dec 3rd to Dec 9yh, there were : 269 Combined operations, IEDs found and cleared: 147, anti-Iraqi forces detained: 334, foreign fighters captured or killed: 8, Weapons caches found and cleared:84

Add those to the weeks before in the last few months and I think you will see that what you hear about in the news is but a small part of the real story going on there. Hundreds of caches found, thousands of weapons found, hundreds of terrorist caught or killed, and hundreds of IED's found and destroyed before they could harm anyone. But you hear about the few that do the damage. It that a truly un-bias press? I think not.

Is there no end to the lies, treason and criminality of the press when it comes to "coverage" of the war in Iraq?

Everyday should be "Spit on a Reporter Day"!!!

You mean those stories that the C.O.L. has been posting are not correct!

Shiver me timbers and blow the man down!

Seriously though, how can idiots like the C.O.L. be seeing so much bad news in Iraq when folks like us can find so much good news that is being ignored -- it's almost like he isn't even trying.

Excellent article Shadowwar. Parallels to some extent the news in the article I posted here, but in much more detail.

Of course the C.O.L. is still due to post an article about how all of this happened because we negotiated with the terrorists, and they will just turn around and bite us in the end.

The same way the DNC leadership can.  You can always cherry pick and find bad things.  But you have to be really myopic to not see the good as well.  And the DNC and MSM are very good at being very stupid.
