Terrorist holds child against will

Based on Iraqi tips, Coalition forces killed six terrorists, detained three and destroyed a safe house and multiple weapons caches in Ramadi during a May 17 search for a wanted terrorist known as the "Prince of IEDs."

The troops began taking fire upon arrival at the site where the al-Qaida leader and his associates were building improvised explosive devices.

Coalition forces killed six terrorists and detained three others, one of whom was wounded and medically evacuated. The troops also discovered an 8- year-old boy inside the house. The child told the Soldiers he was being held against his will by terrorists who abused him and used him as a servant. Soldiers took the boy to their base, took care of him, and then returned him to his family.

Coalition forces were attacked from a second building and secured that building as well.

After securing the site, troops found machine guns, rifles, a pistol, artillery shells, IED-making material, a suicide vest, and rocket propelled grenades. The terrorists' equipment, weapons and ammunition were destroyed by ground charges and air strikes.

The targeted individual, "The Prince of IEDs," is reported to be a financier, an IED maker and a bomb facilitator for al-Qaida in Iraq in Ramadi. Coalition forces are assessing the

identities of the dead and detained.

This is great information. We all know our troops are the best in the world.

Still, 1,5 or 10 years from now, if we are still there, will it be any different?

I don't know. It sure doesn't look like it though. It seems like we are shadow boxing much of the time.
And then, with 1 hand tied behind our backs.

What I didn't see was reports on what the Iraqi forces have done to help themselves.
To bring our men and women home, this has to be achieved.

Good article though. It's good to see some positive things happening vrs. the spoonfed media version.
