Media Bias? What do you think?
Every single day we hear how the war is going badly. We are inundated with images and news of our soldiers being injured or killed, we here how many Iraq civilians are killed. Day after day, it’s no wonder that the American People as a majority (at least according to the polls) feel the war is not going well and we are not making any progress. It is only because I bother to look at a few different web sites I know about things that would make the average American stop and think, ”why didn’t I hear about that?” or “How come that’s not in the news?”. Here are a few things from just this week that should have made the news but because it’s not negative against the US or its military forces, it’s not talked about. Wonder how many in congress know these things??
On Tuesday of this last week (the 22nd) Coalition forces found and freed 12 Iraqis who were being held captive and tortured by Terrorist. This occurred northeast of Karmah. After five Iraqi hostages were found and freed May 21, intelligence reported that two buildings were being used for kidnappings and murders. As Coalition Forces approached the first building, Terrorist engaged them with small arms fire. Five terrorists were killed by the ground forces and four were killed in an air strike.
Coalition Forces then secured the building and discovered 12 Iraqis held captive in a locked room, three of whom appeared to have been beaten. The ground force evacuated the 12 individuals and provided treatment for their injuries.
The first building also contained a cache of weapons, In the second building, Coalition Forces found stolen goods and detained three suspected terrorists there for their alleged ties to the kidnapping network.
Iraqi Security Forces and Multi-National Division – Baghdad troops freed an Iraqi soldier being held by a militia’s kidnap cell May 20 in the Rashid District of Baghdad.
US Soldiers rescued Mosher Ahmmaed Abdualrahman, during a pre-dawn cordon and search operation.
“Two months of conducting combat operations with the Citadel Brigade (1-2nd Iraqi Army) have led us to develop exceptionally strong ties to our Iraqi partners,” said Lt. Col. Pat Frank, 28th Inf. Regt. commander. “Finding their soldier alive was the main effort mission for the Black Lions.”
The Iraqi Army soldier was abducted by a Jashya al-Mahdi kidnap cell May 17 in the Shurta neighborhood. Task Force Black Lion executed the operation, which rescued the soldier unharmed.
Below is a list of News releases just from Wednesday through Saturday. Look at what some of these are about. Where is the coverage?? The main stream media can no longer say it’s not biased. With these kinds of stories out there, there is no place to hide their agenda.

So do any of these interest you? I would hope so. It just goes to show our media can no longer be trusted to tell you the whole truth. They are only going to tell you what they want you to hear. Not what you want to hear. I need you opinions for a article I am writing. What do you thnink about media bias??
