OK. I went to the press release site and copied the list of news releases for just the last two days. Then I looked at them. They list not only "Good News" susch as captured or killed terrorist, but they also mention soldiers being attacked and such. Seems to me just looking at these two days that the DOD MNF-I news release site list a more balanced set of articles than any main stream media site I find. Can you find anywhere on CNN, ABC, MSNBC or ones like those this type of balanced (good and bad news) reporting? If you can please post a link to it.

Below are ALL the news releases just for the last two days:

Monday, 18 June 2007 National Police and MND-B troops respond to car bomb attacks in southern Baghdad

Sunday, 17 June 2007 Rashid sheiks meet to discuss peace, progress
Sunday, 17 June 2007 Joint Operation Ardennes detains 2

Well? You see, what is the reason that the MSM can't just post some of the above besides the one "Improvised explosive device strikes MND-B patrol " thats the only one you would see in the MSM. When there are more out there.

The US Press is so lopsided against the Iraq War they are doing everything in thier power to shape the American publics view of the war. If you hear something enough you will begin to belive it. Negative, negative, negative and so on...soon you are negative.

You can now see my YouTube channel where I post videos from the DOD that you will never see on the Nightly News. LOL They are positive about our men and women of the military. http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=3rdID8487, including shots of action , patrols, and such.

That's why I only watch BBC News, the rest suck

The fact that they are so busy shows the chaos that rules within the country. The situation is not getting better despite the surge.
Its not just the press that thinks the situation is deteriorating there. Talk to the Republican congressman that have been over there. The whole plan has been a shambles from the beginning.

You recognize that the civilian media is often biased, yet you seem to turn a blind eye to the bias of the DOD's media.

No actually you failed to see the point of the list of articles. Notice they post both positive and negative stuff (deaths of soldiers or attacks on our troops). That was my point. They at least post the positive along with the negative. You missed the point entirely, which can be attributted to either your intentional failure to want to see the overall picture or your narrowed view due to watching to much MSM. Of course the DOD is going to be biaes to the other side, you would have to be an idiot not to think that, but the point is by looking at both sides you see a more well rounded picture than relying on only the MSM biased reporting.

missed the point entirely,

I understood your point perfectly fine. My observation stands.

but the point is by looking at both sides you see a more well rounded picture than relying on only the MSM biased reporting.

This is not the point you were making in the article, if you intended to make this point then you need to edit your article. The point you actually made was, "Civilian media is horribly biased, whereas the DOD media is much more balanced in its reporting. You make no mention of using both in order to gain a clearer picture on the subjects they report on.

I stand by my statement: "Notice they post both positive and negative stuff (deaths of soldiers or attacks on our troops). That was my point. They at least post the positive along with the negative. "

Is that or is it not more rounded than reporting only the negative? Simple enough point and question.
