all you have to do is look..

You know I write a lot about how biased the media is. And at times its very subtle and other times is obvious. But none to date have been more obvious than todays headline in my local paper.

Here is the Gainesville Soory's (Sun) Headline in the paper today in reference to Iraq: U.S. Military: 14 Troops Killed in Iraq -

Now I was looking to see what our military had done so far in Operation Arrowhead Ripper, or for that matter any other operations, but couldn't find it. You do know there is a  big operation to round up the terrorist. Right?

SO I thought let me go look on the MNF-I web site, DVIDS, DefendAmerica and other military web sites and see what I could find. So I did. I found that many things are going on but in just the one operation here is the headline I would have written for todays newspaper:

81 Terrorist Killed, scores captured, scores of IED's and weapons caches found

Which do you think the American Public would rather hear? Which would boost the morale of our troops and the families they have at home more? Which would do more to demoralize the enemy? If I was trying to support the troops (as many claim to do, but really do not) which one would you want to hear from me? If I was trying to boost your outlook on the Iraq War and help you to feel better about what we are doing there which would you pick?

Which do you think the MSM picked? Your right, not mine.

Like this one from the AP: U.S. mistakenly kills 7 Afghan police

The headline indicates the troops screwed up, but the story tells something different:

Afghan police mistook U.S. troops on a nighttime mission for Taliban fighters and opened fire on them early Tuesday, prompting U.S. forces to return fire and call in attack aircraft. Seven Afghan police were killed.
