This is the stupidest thing I have ever heard!!!

TRENTON, N.J. -- Gov. James McGreevey reacted to an edict that could put the brakes on bars holding ladies' nights and offering discounted drinks.
The state Division on Civil Rights declared the promotions biased and unlawful.

McGreevey called the ruling bureaucratic nonsense and an overreaction lacking in common sense.

David R. Gillespie, who claimed it was unfair for women to get into a Cherry Hill bar for free while men paid a $5 cover charge, filed the complaint that led to Tuesday's ruling six years ago.

McGreevey does not have the authority to rescind the ruling. But he has met with Attorney General Peter C. Harvey to discuss the matter.

No word from Harvey on what will come of the ruling, which carries the force of a court decision.

This is a perfect example of the stupid people getting the stupid lawyer and a stupid judge together. Some guy in this guys home town should have a serious talk with him. WHat guy in his right mind would arguee about ladies night?? He must have had some bad night, and been turned down a few times, to get this mad. LOL Life is to short to worry about the fairnes of ladies night. If I had been the judge I would have told him to get a life and worry about more important things.

this one is my chuckle for the day. It really is amazing the things people will expend time and energy upon.

I have to go with the Gov. on this one. "McGreevey called the ruling bureaucratic nonsense and an overreaction lacking in common sense."

Common sense is a very uncommon commodity these days.

Whats sad is this guy that brought the lawsuit! He actually had to really pissed for some reason or is just a really big loser and wanted to get even with the girls. Then some idiot lawyer took the case and a judge agreed to hear it. What in the world is our court system coming too?? This is so sad its funny. What will fat and ugly guys do now for dates?? No more ladies night to go to?? I am joking guys!! Gheesh don't slam me for kidding around..maybe..

Maybe he was pissed about there not being a "guys" night. Maybe he prefers a bar full of guys to dance with. hmmmmmm? He could've always just worn drag if it bothered him that much.

While this does smack of stupid, I guess there were precedents prior to this. From USA Today, 4-6JUN edition, "Many scoff at NJ ruling over 'ladies' nights'": "Other states are mixed, the ruling [by the director of NJ's Division on Civil Rights, Frank Vespa-Papleo] points out. Judes in Pennsylvania and Iowa have agreed that such events are illegal, while Illinois and Washington state courts say they're okay as promotions to attract customers."

So basically, we have a lot of morons sitting on the benches. No news there.
