This is my personal view and comments on the issues and events that I feel a need to talk about or express my view. You don't have to agree, but lets carry on a adult, discussion and maybe you will see it the right way, mine. ;)
Maybe its because the media doesn't want us to hear about it...

Well lets see, the left leaning mass media of the US doesn't spend much time (if any) on the good things that our troops are doing in Iraq. Think we are only killing and torturing the Iraq people? Then you are ignorant and bias. Check out some of the other things going on you will not hear about:

Our men and women are trying to build a better Iraq. They are trying to help the people there and we have people here in the US like our great leaders who make statements that get our military men and women killed because they want to further their own political goals. SHAME ON YOU KENNEDY!

God Bless the USA and its Military Men and Women.

I think many of us would appreciate a link to the organization if they have a site. Thanks

It was posted at the bottom of the post. As Grog was so kind as to point out. Thankss Grog.

And don't forget it's not just the US doing these things.Consider for example how the British troops in the south are working with the community. Relations there are so positive that we can wear berets rather than helmets (though I appreciate that the Baghdad area is more volatile).

You are 100% right Martin and I am sorry. Its not just the Americans. Thnak you for pointing that out and bringing up that point, I had completly overlooked it.

There are many more and this is only a sample. Yes these come off of our official web site, but they are normaly just for our reading, and this is only the Marines web site, each service has their own. Take some time out and read some of them, for I'm sure that they will never make CNN TV or even their website or any other news orginization for that matter.

Its sad that all the good that our people are doing over there is overshadowed by the actions of a few bad apples. Winning of hearts and minds is crucial over there.

Thank you so much for pointing out the good.  It seems that the world has gotten so fascinated with the bad and so cynical about anything good.  I still think that the US wants the best for the people of the world.

Thanks for posting this. My uncle is over there right now and he tells us about this kind of stuff. We've had soldiers come home and write to the newspaper and ask them why they're not covering this info.

You get an insightful for pointing out what other people should be.

ShadowWar,
I have heard not a whisper of this positivity in the Media and I thankyou for posting this. Though....as I know that those in the military are people too....with hearts.....family......children are friends.....I am not surprised to hear of such kindness..... as we're all human.
