OK Now that we have established that some people are not for killing them all I am open for suggestions on how to handle this situation. Lay out a reasonable plan and make me rethink my position. Here is my realistic plan:
1: Increase the number of troops to the maximum that we can safely put in Iraq. That means leaving enough in reserve for safety at home. But send all the rest to Iraq. Flood the country. Overwhelming numbers and firepower.
2: When an American is taken hostage, conduct a house by house search in the area until he/she is found. If a hostage is killed, execute 10 of their known associates. These would only be people we have proof are terrorist. It is my understanding we have hundreds detained that are no question associates and terrorist.
3: Provide for a 10 million dollar reward per terrorist and free transport for your family and you to the states for anyone in Iraq who turns in these people who are responsible.
4: Declare that no matter where terrorist hide they are going to be attacked, hospital, church, school, no matter where. And that should the lives of innocents be lost they are responsible, not us, they are the ones who choose the battle zone not us.
5: When terrorist involved are caught, execute them and make the execution available on the internet to those that wish to see it, to show the terrorist that they are indeed dead.
6: If a nation is found to be aiding the terrorist or insurgents as they are being called, embargo everything, food, medicine, everything. They want to fight us, then they can do without aid from the US and its Allies.
What those that are saying we should not be in Iraq are failing to see is that if we were not fighting them there where would we be fighting? Would you rather have these battles here in the states? Would you rather the Russian School would have taken place here in the states? Have 200+ of our children killed by terrorist? There is a reason we have not been attacked on our own soil again since 911. Its because we are fighting back. We chose the battle ground and the place, not them. Be glad its there and not here. No its time to make the fight violent, swift and overwhelming again.
By the way if you think that Kerry and Edwards would not have gone into Iraq, think again. Both have stated they would have given the same information Bush had. The Congress voted (Johns Included) to give the President the right to use US Troops where and when he saw fit, and he did.
Sen. Edwards stated that "Iraq is the MOST immenate threat to the US now." (said this in 2003 before the war.)
It just happens that the one man in the world that could do something about it did. He had the guts and right to do it and did.
