Citizens are turing in the terrorist weapons now..
June 6, 2005 – Tips from local residents helped Iraqi security forces rescue a kidnapping victim, seize weapons and uncover a weapons cache June 5, Multinational Force Iraq officials in Baghdad reported today.
Iraqi police from the Shaab Police Station responded to a tip and launched a raid on a local residence, where they found a kidnapping victim unharmed inside, officials said. (Where is the press covereage on this? I know that its not a U.S. Soldier but you would think the rescue of a kidnap victim would be a bit of good news and would make the circut, oh thats right, I said it, "good news", thats why it will never make Cnn or ABc or the others. Oh well, you heard it here)
Four suspects were taken into custody for questioning, officials said.(They even got some fo the people involved maybe? Wow would be good news here in the states anyway.)
In other anti-insurgent activity, an Iraqi citizen who witnessed two sacks of ammunition and weapons being dropped in a field turned the contents over to soldiers at Camp Justice.(OK now the citizens are bringing the weapons and stuff to the soldiers! Now that shows how much the Iraqi people hate the troops. (jking))
Officials said the citizen saw a white Toyota pickup truck drop the sacks and investigated the contents. Inside the bags were 37 Iraqi hand grenades, 101 Bulgarian grenade fuses, two Spanish artillery fuses, two French 130 mm artillery proximity fuses and one heavy machine gun, officials said.
The resident transported the cache to Camp Justice and turned it over to soldiers at the gate, officials said.
Also in Iraq, soldiers with the 1st Brigade, 3rd Iraqi Army Division, acted on a tip from a civilian and uncovered a weapons cache consisting of 20 122mm rockets.
No injuries or damages were reported during the incidents.

You know I begin to truely wonder at what the press decides is news, a kidnap victim rescued, a cache of weapons brought to the troops camp, interesting news and good things coming out of Iraq and Afghanistan, but hey thats the killer of the story, its good stuff, not blood or death or negative about the U.S. so it won't make it to the mainstream news. What a shame, and you thought we had freedom of press, you silly optimistic person, its only as free as those that own it want it to be and since they won't report these type of things who do you think owns them? I would venture to say someone or some group with anti-american, or anti-republican, or anti-Bush feelings. Why else would you be so negative? Oh well you could always look for the news here and get your morning boost about what we stand for and what we are really doing over there.
