This is my personal view and comments on the issues and events that I feel a need to talk about or express my view. You don't have to agree, but lets carry on a adult, discussion and maybe you will see it the right way, mine. ;)
If you don't e-mail UofC or someone there you don't deserve to be called American!!

On hearing of Ward Churchill's comments today I thought it was all made up. So I decided to do like I always do, and WHOA!! It was true. Ward Churchill has done it again, except this time I feel he stepped over the line and made criminal statements, you decide. I downloaded and listened to the MP3 of the lecture. Well its not being taken out of context. He's a filthy disgusting human being and should be arrested and charged at the federal level for sedition.

Churchill, speaking at an anti- military forum in Portland, Ore., military said:

"Conscientious objection removes a given piece of the cannon fodder from the fray," he said. "Fragging an officer has a much more impactful effect."

His remarks were posted Sunday on the Pirate Ballerina blog siteLink, which carries mostly anti- Churchill content. On Wednesday, Fox News' Bill O'Reilly played a tape of the remarks.

Now if you think this is a little over the top (I think its criminal) I highly suggest you write the two below people and tell them you think he has gone to far. The second is the Colorado University Interm Chancellor.

Oh and for your information here is the Federal Law:
Title 18, U.S. Code
Section 2388
(a) Whoever, when the United States is at war, willfully makes or conveys false reports or false statements with intent to interfere with the operation or success of the military or naval forces of the United States or to promote the success of its enemies; or Whoever, when the United States is at war, willfully causes or attempts to cause insubordination, disloyalty, mutiny, or refusal of duty, in the military or naval forces of the United States, or willfully obstructs the recruiting or enlistment service of the United States, to the injury of the service or the United States, or attempts to do so - Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

Oh and here:
Title 18 U.S. Code
Section 2381
Section 2381. Treason

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

If you find his remarks offensive and don't do anything about it, DON'T post a response please. Your not worth my time to read it.

As much as the bleeding hearts hate to admit it, there has to be a line somewhere between freedom of expression and sedition. At some point you have to say "Wait, he's advising soldiers against who oppose the war to do so violently."

If this isn't that line, I'd hate to see what is. This should be a law enforcement matter, imho. Not that I think it would happen, hell, I don't even think he'll get fired.

And before people start yammering about oppression and the COnstitution, I'd advise them to think back to the Revolutionary war, and consider what would have happened to an educator who openly advocated soldiers murdering their superiors.

The "professor" forgets that "anti war" means you are against the war in general... which would mean calling both sides to stop the fighting.

The "professor" also forgets that "pacifist" means a person is against war, period. Calling for the murder of military leaders is far from "pacifism".

Apparently the ability to define simple words is a bit too much to expect from the simple minded waste of human flesh and coward.

Excellent, excellent point. That's the difference I am talking about above. He isn't opposing the war, he is opposing his own nation in favor of its enemies. He would be happier if we lost, than if we won. That isn't peace-loving, or anti-war, that is sedition.

Well, it has finally hit the MSM, and Churchill is not denying it.  Here is a link to the Denver post Story

""Would you render the same support to someone who hadn't conscientiously objected, but rather instead rolled a grenade under their line officer in order to neutralize the combat capacity of their unit?"

When one of the forum's attendees said that the impact such a fragging might have on the officer's family should be considered, Churchill replied, "How do you feel about Adolf Eichmann's family?"

From the article Doc linked. Good lord, he seems to be really fixated on Eichmann, huh? Regardless, if he doesn't lose his job for that one the school needs to be boycotted.

I wonder how excited Churchill would be if those grenades he's wanting to see role into military command tents were rolled his way?

So he could play the victim? I'd bet he'd be peeing on himself with delight.

Don't pretend that he can't keep his mouth shut. He's doing this on purpose. I believe he thinks if he gets fired or persecuted it buys him political clout and makes his point about our "oppressors".

As to what he thinks it accomplishes, I dunno. Without the core of American voters he's not going to promote any agenda, and all he seems to do is piss them off. Maybe he is hoping to be this generation's Gonzo.
