BAGHDAD – Troops from the 1st Battalion, 4th Iraqi Public
Order Brigade and Coalition forces detained 19 suspected
terrorists after investigating an explosion heard from a roadside
bomb perimeter they were manning Oct. 27 in the Ad
Dawrah district .
The explosion was heard coming from a house about 200
meters away from the troop’s location. The suspects were
found inside the domicile surrounded with an assortment of
bomb-making materials.
Bomb technicians found timers, voltage meters and battery
packs. It was determined that 27 kilograms of explosives
caused the detonation.
The suspects are in custody, undergoing further questioning.
Cell phone snoop detained
BAGHDAD – Iraqi Army soldiers detained a man using a
cell phone camera to record an Iraqi traffic control point in
east Baghdad Oct. 26.
The man was immediately apprehended and searched.
The cell phone had video footage of numerous important
sites in Baghdad, including recent footage of the Palestine
Sheraton Hotel complex that was attacked by three suicide
car bombers Oct. 24.
The suspect was carrying materials used in making false
passports. He is now in the hands of the Iraqi judicial system.
“It looks like the Iraqi Army caught a scout for the terrorists

forces when they spotted the suspect fleeing
the area. Soldiers reported the man glancing
over his shoulder at the troops while running
away and announcing to others that a patrol
with no U.S. Marines was approaching.
The man resisted when soldiers detained
him. The soldiers’ suspicions were confirmed
when the suspect’s cell phone
flashed a message asking were the patrol
was and what they were doing. The man
was detained pending further investigation.

BAQUABA – Two suspected terrorists died and a third was
detained by Iraqi Police following an apparent failed suicide
car bombing on Coalition forces Oct. 25.
Three people were seen in the vehicle before it exploded,
according to reports. One man was wearing a suicide vest
that apparently detonated early, killing himself and another
occupant. The third man jumped from the moving vehicle in

Iraqi explosive ordnance disposal team later cleared the
scene.
An unreported number of wounded were evacuated for
medical treatment.

driving and when they became evasive during further questioning.

Soldiers raid bomb-making factory
BAGHDAD – An Iraqi Army raid on a suspected bombmaking
factory in Baghdad resulted in the detention of 10
suspected terrorists Oct. 20.
The 10 suspects were working in the facility when the raid
took place. They are now being processed by the Iraqi judicial
system.
The Iraqi soldiers set up an outer cordon around the
building and launched the raid at midday. Within minutes,
the entire building had been searched and cleared by the
Iraqi soldiers.
Task Force Baghdad Soldiers then entered the cleared
building and identified a truckload of materials used to
make improvised explosive devices. An explosive ordnance
disposal team followed, clearing the way to remove all the
materials.
“The Iraqi Army appeared very confident in the execution
of this mission,” said U.S. 1st Lt. Lauren Rowe, a military
police officer with the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry
Division. “They acted very professionally and took ownership
of the operation. U.S. forces remained in the background
while the Iraqi soldiers cleared the building.”
The Iraqi soldiers developed the intelligence on the target
and planned the operation, officials said. (2nd Brigade

The media are dickwads who could give a rip about reality - "Just the stuff we can use to make the US look bad, please, ditch that good news crap - it's worthless." They are clueless to the harm they do by not reporting the good with the bad, and completely disingenuous when called on it.
Thanks for keeping us informed, Shadow.
Cheers,
