Iraqi Troops Detain Six Suspects, Capture Weapons THAT READS IRAQI TROOPS

Dec. 29, 2005 – Iraqi soldiers captured six suspected terrorists and seized weapons in raids over the last two days, Multinational Security Transition Command officials reported.

Troops from 1st Battalion, 1st Brigade, 7th Iraqi Army Division, apprehended four men in Ramadi today after the men ran from the scene of a roadside bomb attack on a U.S. tank. A search of the area yielded wire consistent with wire used in the attack.

Troops from 1st Battalion, 1st Brigade, 4th Iraqi Army, found dynamite and a pair of night-vision goggles in a raid, and took a man into custody North of Dawr yesterday

Members of 3rd Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 1st Iraqi Intervention Force, detained a local man while patrolling in Khalidiyah yesterday. Local citizens tipped off the soldiers about the man's insurgent activities, and the soldiers found five hand grenades and a handgun in his house.

Them darn Iraqi Trrops, at again. Detaining Terrorist, finding weapons and all that stuff. My when will it end, its almost as if they really want to have a safe and secure country and give the newly elected government a chance. Naw that can't be, the main stream media told me all that is happening is death and destruction. Right??

That's one of my pet peeves, too.

I don't know. I think so. Some Al-Qaeda operative in Britain said as much.

I wrote about it here: http://citizenleauki.joeuser.com/index.asp?aid=92175

Basically these people believe that most of Iraq is fighting the US, that the US have therefor no significant permanent presence inside Iraq, and that the US enjoy killing Muslims. The logical conclusion is therefor that the US go for bombing raids from, obviously, outside Iraq.

I think these assumptions are typical among the terrorists and the left. Everything they say makes sense when you make these assumptions!

The terrorists might know better and only spread propaganda. But I think they really believe it. That's why Al-Qaeda thought they could get away with bombing a hotel in Jordan. They earnestly thought that a vast majority of Arabs are on their side and that they could only lose a few supporters when attacking fellow Sunni Arabs.

From Al-Qaeda's point of view they were attacking a western outpost at the border of the region that supportes them. From Jordan's point of view Al-Qaeda were attacking Jordan. From Al-Qaeda's point of view a hotel that interacts with Jews and Americans is the enemy. From Jordan's point of view interacting with Jews and Americans is normal and has nothing to do with politics. From Al-Qaeda's point of view most Arabs and Muslims would agree that the hotel is the enemy. From Jordan's point of view Israel MIGHT be an enemy (the King doesn't think so) but a Jordanian hotel is not, even when it accepts Jewish money.

But you can't tell a leftie that the opposite is true in any case. They will just pity you as you fell for American propaganda.
