Recruiting Numbers for military...

Darn now what will they say??

The military released the recruiting numbers today:

Army
Recruited 741
Goal 700
Percentage of goal 106

Navy
Recruited 2,022
Goal 2,011
Percentage of goal 101

Marine Corps
Recruited 1,717
Goal 1,619
Percentage of goal 106

Air Force
Recruited 2,209
Goal 2,192
Percentage of goal 101

Now what will they say about the numbers? I wonder how the Anti-military will try and spin this. Oh almost forgot: Active duty retention. All services met or exceeded their overall retention goals for December and are projected to meet their retention goals for the current fiscal year.

This is for one month out of FY 2006. Are these FY 2006 goals down from previous years? How has recruiting trended over more than this month?

It's easy to say that we jumped the hurdle now that we've made the hurdle three inches high.

Ummm... Shadow... from what I have read of your stuff, I am on your "side."

That was not an attempt to spin. I just wanted to know how the figures you quoted compared in a larger context. I am actually trying to protect your numbers by expanding the context.
