School children line the street to honor a young Marinegoing to his final resting place.. I received this e-mail today. I felt humbled and proud. It was extra special as today is my birthday. What a nice birthday present from a friend. The e-mail speaks of a young Marine who gave the ultimate sacrifice for us. And of the love and respect given him by others, especially the Sheriff of Leon County Florida, Sheriff Campbell. It was an honorable and special thing he did. As a 26+ year ve...

What the Terrorists Forgot A couple weeks ago we were all thinking about where we were on September 11th. Personally, I was inbound to Reagan National Airport in Washington D.C. on an early flight. The flight would be diverted and it would be 6 hours before I would be able to get in touch with my family. It would take me almost another 24 hours to get home from the airport I was diverted to. In the years following the attack on the two Towers and the Pentagon, there's been many theori...

For the past three years solid progress has been made to rebuild Iraq’s critical infrastructure. All of Iraq’s industrial sectors—oil, water, electrical power, education, agriculture, buildings and facilities, and security—have...

OK, I have a real problem here. I have been hearing since yesterday that a report from the Intelligence agencies say the War in Iraq has made terrorism worse instead of better. This was picked up of course by the anti-war groups and Left and hailed as proof positive that the Bush Administration has made yet another mistake. I have one question to ask though. If this is a classified report, that means secret. Who is crying about the leaking of the classified document? Who leaked it ...

Here is a timeline I read now and then to remind myslef, we are in a fight for civilization and our very way of life..   A suicide bomb attack in southern Afghanistan (September 18, 2006) killed at least four NATO soldiers and injured many other people, including children. The attack in volatile Kandahar province, claimed by the Taleban, comes a day after NATO said it had successfully completed a major anti-Taleban operation in the area. Here is a story that should have made headlines across the nation. "Killer of 31 Americans captured!" Now thats the kind of headlines I like to see. Or maybe "Sniper of 31 soldiers caught by Iraqi Police! But no sadly you will ...
