This story would have made national headlines if it was a US Child here in the US. But since its in Iraq and shows the soldiers in a good light, you will never see it here. I wonder how long it will take, if at all, for this to make the news. Multi-National Division-Center Public Affairs BAGHDAD – Soldiers captured an Iraqi man suspected of directing attacks against coalition forces and acting as a conduit for funneling Iranian weapons to Shiite extremists. They also bagged a bonus: an insurgent-made videotape showing insurgents aiming and firing Iranian-made rockets at American targets. (see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgbNbekpkfE ) ...

Ok, I am constantly told on the news, in the newspaper and on Internet websites how many casulties we have had in the war in Iraq. This month we lost more brave and wonderful young men and women. But how come we never hear how many enemy are killed or captured (since we capture some, unlike the terrorist for the most part)??? The military will not post a "body count" as its not in thier best interest to appear blood thirsty. But the numbers are still interesting to many just the same....

This is a note to all of our fantastic military families out there that have loved ones serving in Iraq or Afghanistan. I recently (about March) began posting videos from the DOD on a YouTube Channel. I have over 100 now, with over 55,000 video views. The videos are ones you more than likely will not see on the news. I try to update it about every other day with new ones. But that is not the purpose of this article and I digress. A few weeks ago I got a message on my YouTube account fr...

You know I write a lot about how biased the media is. And at times its very subtle and other times is obvious. But none to date have been more obvious than todays headline in my local paper. Here is the Gainesville Soory's (Sun) Headline in the paper today in reference to Iraq: U.S. Military: 14 Troops Killed in Iraq - Now I was looking to see what our military had done so far in Operation Arrowhead Ripper, or for that matter any other operations, but couldn't find it. You do ...

Do you know during which period we have lost more soldiers? During the Iraq War or during the Cold War Time from 1981-1984? If you listen to our media, our soldiers are being cut down left and right. We are suffering a terrible loss. Its all you hear of news from Iraq. Every time a soldier dies, its a great headline according to our media. But the facts bear out otherwise. 3415 total deaths in Operation Iraqi Freedom. That's from March 19th, 2003 through May 19th, 2007. That's ...

OK. I went to the press release site and copied the list of news releases for just the last two days. Then I looked at them. They list not only "Good News" susch as captured or killed terrorist, but they also mention soldiers being attacked and such. Seems to me just looking at these two days that the DOD MNF-I news release site list a more balanced set of articles than any main stream media site I find. Can you find anywhere on CNN, ABC, MSNBC or ones like those this type of balanced (good and ...

In todays newspaper (The Gainesville Sun) there was this big article about how we had 4 soldiers killed in a IED attack. NOT ONE MENTION OF THE 21 Dead Terrorist or other good stuff mentioned here! What a crock of bull chips. If you wanted any more proof of the one sidedness of the press all you have to do is look at stuff like this and then try to find it in the main stream media. YOU CAN'T! If the media actually told of not only the US military losses, but also the terrorist loses the Am...
