I posted this as a response to one of my post, but thought it deserves its own post. In response to Sen. Durbans comments on the Senate floor on June 14th, I decided to write to my Senators here in Florida. Here is what I wrote them: Sen. Nelson, Sir, I respectfully would like to know if you plan on rebutting Sen. Durbans comments he made on June 14th on the Senate floor. And if you are not, would you please in the name of those of your supporters who think his actions were harmful. ...

Now those of you that read my stuff know I do not like to post Op eds very often. But here is one I could not let go. You can not believe what this supposed Senator from Ill said on the Senate floor yesterday: http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/F?r109:3:./temp/~r1091nyhMx:e22835 Here is the text: Unfortunately, the President rejected Secretary Powell's wise counsel, and instead accepted Alberto Gonzales' recommendation, issuing a memo setting aside the Geneva Conventions and conclud...

OK Yesterday on my way home from work I had an eye opening epiphany. For the last few years I have been trying to understand why leftys think the way they do, and why they see things in a completly different light than those on the right. I have been listening to their outlooks and opinions on issues that interest or concern me. I have even tried talking to a few lefty's to see what they think on issues. Many times these talks resulted in me walking away even more befuddeled than when the con...

OK OK I have not been around in a bit but I have to say this issue brought me out of my slump. Our local School Board had to decide on a few extra days to put into the school schedule to make up for some missed days due to our hurricanes. So after passing around a few ideas they decided to use a few holidays to make up the days. Here is where it rubs my rubarb wrong. The school board picked Veterans Day as a school day and left MLK Day as a holiday!?!?! What in effect they are saying is th...

The left is in total meltdown. I have never seen such idiots doing such stupid things. Now they blame Bush for hurricanes??? They are putting up billboards to blame him for the recent Hurricanes here in Florida. This really shows how desperate they are. I have never heard of anyone blaming a human for the weather before. Maybe in jest, but not seriously. http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewCulture.asp?Page=\Culture\archive\200410\CUL20041026a.html This is after the researchers say global warmi...

Yesterday I heard for the first time a clip of a translation from the recent video of the brutal and criminal beheading of a innocent American civilian who was working in Iraq to assist in the reconstruction of that country. In the translation the Terrorist/ cowards refered to the "quagmire" that America has become involved in. Refering to Iraq. When I heard that I thought it strange that they would use the term "Quagmire". It just didn't seem like a word Islamic Terrorist would use for some ...

John Kerry Confuses Himself With Bob Kerrey Of course John Kerry is afraid to run on his left-wing Senate record, but does that mean he should pose as a colleague? Imagine the screaming headlines and nationwide media ridicule if President Bush confused himself with another pol. But don't expect the New York Times and company to report this: In trying to defend his horrendous record on intelligence "and spin their way out of his lousy committee attendance record," Kerry's campaign "c...

OK Let me get this straight..... Some people accuse President Bush of lying about WMD's in Iraq. They say he lied to the country. But.... The CIA (as flawed as they are) told the President Iraq had WMD's The British Intellegence Service told the President that Iraq had WMD's. The Democrats said Iraq was a threat - Former Vermont Governor Howard Dean (D), appearing on "Face the Nation" in September 2002, said, "There's no question that Saddam Hussein is a threat to the United ...

Would John Kerry take the time to do this? Above is a picture of Mike McNaughton of Denham Springs, LA. He stepped on a land mine in Afghanistan Christmas 2002. President Bush came to visit the wounded in the hospital. He told Mike that when he could run a mile that they would go on a run together. True to his word, he called Mike every month or so to see how he was doing. Well, last week they went on the run, 1 mile with the president. Not something you'll see in the news, b...

Subject: Bush in church, Very interesting I'm at the 8:00am service at my church, St. John's Episcopal, at Lafayette Square, across from the White House. (I wanted to go early because I was going with Alice and Brent for breakfast at the Cracker Barrel in Manassas.) Much of the service was uneventful--nice, but uneventful--until it comes to the part of the service when the priest says, "Greet one another in the name of the Lord." I turn to my right to exchange the peace with my friend...
